Why not include SPF into your powdered makeup regimen? Incorporating SPF powder into a daily skincare routine provides an easy, effective way to protect the skin from the sun’s harmful effects while offering additional skincare and cosmetic benefits.
Why Women Should Use SPF Powder
- Sun Protection: SPF powder provides essential protection against harmful UV rays, which can cause skin damage, premature aging, and increase the risk of skin cancer.
- Convenience: SPF powders are easy to apply and reapply throughout the day without the need for a mirror. This makes it convenient to maintain sun protection even when on the go.
- Lightweight Formula: Unlike some sunscreens that can feel heavy or greasy, SPF powders are lightweight and comfortable to wear, especially for those with oily or sensitive skin.
- Mattifying Effect: Many SPF powders also help to control shine and keep the skin looking matte, which is particularly beneficial for those with oily skin.
- Makeup Friendly: SPF powders can be applied over makeup without disturbing it, making it an excellent option for touch-ups during the day.
- Reduces Skin Irritation: For individuals with sensitive skin, SPF powders often contain fewer irritants compared to traditional sunscreens, reducing the likelihood of skin reactions.
- Prevents Hyperpigmentation: Regular use of SPF products, including powders, helps prevent hyperpigmentation and uneven skin tone caused by sun exposure.
- Anti-Aging Benefits: Consistent use of SPF helps protect the skin from photoaging, reducing the appearance of fine lines, wrinkles, and age spots.
- Versatility: SPF powders come in various shades to match different skin tones and can be used as a setting powder or even on the scalp to protect against sunburn in areas where hair may be thinning.

CLINIQUE Almost Powder Makeup Broad Spectrum SPF 18
A little thick going on, suggest using a brush instead of the sponge applicator that is included with the powder. Decent coverage and pretty good at blending to a more finished look. It is only SPF 18, so I suggest using a SPF in your moisturizer or foundation prior to powder coverage.
I like this because I can easily apply this throughout the day in the sun, since I know the SPF in my moisturizer will not last all day.
